Regulations
1. The goals.
To develop and establish international chess relationships.
2. Organizers.
The Children and Youth Center "Daugmale", RD IKSD, sponsors.
3. Time and venue.
Festival will be held in 5 star Radisson Blu Daugava Hotel, 24 Kugu street, Riga, Latvia, from August 24 (day of arrival) until August 28 (day of departure) 2011. Opening ceremony takes place on the August, 25th at 15.00, followed by round 1 at 15.30. The last round will be on the August 28th at 13.00.
4. Participants.
Chessplayers from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Poland, the Scandinavian countries and visitors from other countries can take part in this event. Each team shall consist of 4 participants = 3 boys + 1 girl, born in 1993 or younger. All participants must have category 1 or higher.
5. Tournament.
Swiss system, 7 rounds in accordance with FIDE Rules. The time control is game in 50 minutes to finish with 10 seconds per move starting from move 1.
6. Prizes and awards.
The teams which take 1-3 places will be awarded with cups, diplomas and special prizes. Individual prizes will be awarded to players who take 1-3 places on each board.
7. Conditions.
Teams are responsible for their transportation cost, accommodation and lodging. All chess players and coaches will be accommodated in the 5 star Radisson Blu Daugava which is only 20 euro per day in a “triple” room per person, breakfast is included. Accommodation for parents is 25 euro (“triple” room). It is possible to upgrade to: „double” room - 62 euro; „single” room - 55 euro. The entry fee is 50 EUR per team.
8. Registrations.
All registrations are accepted until August 17th 2011.
